Day/Post 18: A song from your favourite album

'Here comes the sun' by The Beatles

Here comes the sun is about as iconic as you can get. Famous from the eponymous album 'Abbey Road', its probably one of the 'most played' songs in my itunes library. I thought it would be fitting to this post as Nick shot me under Hong Kong's hottest sun, truly marking the arrival of summer in Hong Kong. However, the weather has now retreated back to its mundane typhoons. Woe woe woe.

Abbey Road is such an iconic album and its definitely got a special place on my heart. I know that nothing beats the Lennon-McCartney partnership, but George really has some spectacular songs. A while ago in london (which you can see here), I went to a musical called 'Let It Be!', which was basically a constant hit of Beatles music, and it was great because it reminded me of other Beatles songs that I've missed out on, as well as the famous anthems. It really did make me want to travel back in time to see the Beatles perform live. Still, here comes the sun is forever intact in my heart. Ok enough with the cheesy talk. I'll leave you to enjoy this song.

PS: London, I'm not done with you! I've still got a couple of london posts lined up! Oh how I miss london.

PARADING AROUND LONDON TOWN (PM)

All photos taken by me.

The PM part of day two in london consisted of visiting china town for a lunch and having the most expensive char siu fan ever, all the while witnessing 'land dragon boat racing'; racing off to Trafalgar where my attempts to climb the lion's were thwarted by the bars surrounding it; going off to see Let It Be!, a Beatles musical, which was highly entertaining and left me believing that my name was lucy and that I was indeed in the sky with diamonds; and finally to a quick walk around lovely covent garden in which many things were admired. I was amazed at all the things we managed to get done in a day and london was truly incredible.
