THE DEGREE SHOWS

pre-rain

Jewelry by Lin Huang

Lin Huang has incredible talent. Her designs were displayed on hangers and it gave it a sort of 'floating' effect. The pictures really speak for themselves. Check out her website for more information

Jewelry by Naomi Alice Brown

Naomi's jewelry is simply amazing. She bears the incredible talent of turning something harsh and negative into something quite beautiful. I, in fact, am loving every bit of her collection, especially the intricately detailed silver gun.  And Naomi was just an absolute delight to talk to. Watch out, this one is going to go far. For more information, click here for Naomi's website.

Jewelry by Bella Mung

Bella is the sweetest person, and she screamed for joy when she found out that I was a fellow Hong Kong-er. Bella's work, no doubt, will be an instant hit. I am lusting for her pearl encrusted brogues. Needless to say, Bella's work is simply incredible.

Battle of the cutouts

Post-rain

A very belated post, I must apologize. About two weeks ago, I ventured into the prestigious Central Saint Martins (CSM) and was fortunate enough to attend "The Degree Shows". This was an exhibition in which all CSM graduate students displayed their work. The exhibitions ranged from jewelry to fashion to animation, and they were all simply outstanding. Fashion design was probably the most exciting aspect for me, and it did not disappoint. Hangers were filled with colorful and intricate cutouts/textures/patterns. It was all a visual masterpiece. I found myself also really enjoying the jewelry and I loved chatting to the students about their work and school. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon and please ignore my awkward stance in the last photo. It had just stopped raining and I had developed some sort of aversion to deadly watered grounds. But then again, that is english weather for you! Anyways, Congratulations CSM class of 2013, you really deserve it!
