Fact, climate affects style. And as temperatures descend from double digits to single digits, I find myself reclining more and more into the comfort of clothes, even more if they double up in comfort and function. Case in point, this coat, which got absolutely 0 wear in HK is now getting 1000x times more wear in the UK. Not only does it succeed in warmth, its light which lets me fold/scrunch/stuff over my chair/table/bed/, its also rain-proof, which is an absolute necessity in the unpredictability of London's weather. Weather rant aside, a few weeks ago I managed to venture out of the east into the Tate Britain, which I personally think is the underrated version of the Tate Modern to see the Turner prize nominees. The exhibit was interesting, to say the least, and there were many colourful comments left behind, but I do think its best if you go and see it for yourself to determine your own opinion. But as the actual Turner prize goes, my moneys on James Richards to take home the title.

Fair play London. The day after we shot this look, London decided to drop a few degrees colder and I can no longer wear this out without running the risk of hyperventilation. Fair play. And if my run in with Brienne of Tarth was any indication (yes that's right!), winter is coming upon us. So goodbye bare legs, constant jacket tying around the waist, sheer tights, cha xiu bao buns, green leaves, afternoon sunlight and lying on green grass eating crisp cut sandwiches (also cautiously watching demonic pigeons flying about). Hello hot chocolate (well this is a year long ritual for me), pumpkin spice latte, coat-over-jacket-over-cardigan-over-sweater sort of looks, indomie dinners (well this again is year long for me), snuggling in bed, mittens, endless excuses to buy new coats, that natural yes my cheeks are pale look, early dark afternoons and scarf fumbling. Truth be told, I've never experienced a real 'winter' (too used to spending 20˚C Christmases), so as scary and  as chilly it may be, bring it on winter.

PS: Apologies at how weather centric this post was. There have been so many things that have been going on in my life (including achieving my number one new years resolution!), I will definitely be sure to tell all in a more detailed post.
