Electric Feel

Extreme close up!

Gold Chain- DIY, Tie dye shirt- DIY, Jacket- HK boutique, Shorts- Thrifted DIY, Boots- Jeffrey Campbell Cutout Freda

Hello readers! I'm currently on Chinese New Year break and I'm really enjoying squeezing in precious hours of sleep. To all my readers, a belated Happy Chinese New Year! Better late than never :) Anyways, onto the main occasion, the shoes! It feels a bit selfish that I haven't shown you all my favourite pair of shoes, considering the amount of time they've spent in my closet. However, allow me to introduce to you my absolutely stunning, breath taking, makes-me-want-to-dance-all-day JEFFREY CAMPBERLL CUTOUT FREDA'S! That extra 6.5" do really make a difference. These beautiful creatures are courtesy of my lovely sister, who gave these back to me in winter of '12 as a birthday present. I have yet to wear them out but hopefully the new year will soon change that.

Now onto my 30 day/post song challenge!

Day/Post 6: A song that reminds you of somewhere

and the lucky number is..

'Electric Feel' by MGMT

Electric Feel has to be one of my favourite songs from MGMT. No kidding. Oracular Spectacular is practically amazing. For some reason, this song reminds me of the ocean waves and a forrest. No idea how but it somehow does. I think its because of the music video. Anyways, enjoy the song!

Feel So Close

Boots- Monki, Skirt- Hk boutique, Bag- Hiroshima, Belt- Vintage, Shirt- Gifts, Scrunchie- Vintage

Is that a scrunchie I see before me? Ok, ignore the lame Macbeth jab but jokes aside, yes that is a scrunchie and yes I am proud to wear it. On saturday, Nick and Nicole and I went out to Soho for lunch and mainly to chill. We went to this amazing Anthony White exhibition and I finally got a chance to visit Select 18, an amazing vintage store that basically stores everything vintage! Here, my friends, (yes reference to Jane Eyre I know but thats what you get when you study English Literature), am I perched on the steps of Pottinger street, a definite festive crook in Hong Kong. Chinese new year is coming upon us folks! And Pottinger is definitely decked out.

DAY 5: A SONG THAT REMINDS YOU OF SOMEONE

and the lucky song is..

'Feel So Close' by Calvin Harris

I cannot even describe to you in words how much I love Calvin Harris. Ever since I pressed my hands onto 'I Created Disco', I have never looked back. And his new album 18 months, is no exception. This song is very very special to me because it reminds me very much of someone who at one point, was extremely close to me. Vague, I know, but I'm not really one to disclose this memory. Some things you just have to keep to yourself. And as cliche as this may sound, this song really brings back memories, so I really hold it close to my heart. Moreover, Calvin's goofy, melancholic and completely lovestruck vocals really make this song.

"I feel so close to you right now

It's a force field

I wear my heart upon my sleeve, like a big deal

Your love pours down on me, surrounds me like a waterfall

And there's no stopping us right now

I feel so close to you right now"

PS: I'm trying to work out the whole a-million-chins thing I have going on recently. Not that you needed to know or anything.
