GOODBYE HONG KONG (3 outfits)

Today I will be departing my home of 17 years and moving across the pond to a new one, apologies for the pun. Its surreal just thinking about how much time has passed. No matter how many times I've pictured this moment, it never really quite hits you until you actually live in it. There are so many things I'll miss about Hong Kong like the $7.50 lo mein (indomie) and TST at night. But I'm so excited to settle in a new place and start a new chapter after this interlude. So I've combined my most recent (ish) outfits from my favourite places in HK a la fellow HK blogger and babe zoe. All outfits shot by my bff Conrad. So for now, so long, my Hong Kong.

AS IF.

Shirt & Skirt- Thrifted | Choker- DIY | Creepers- Underground| Sunnies- Hong Kong boutique

Photography by Conrad Yung

Its been said time and time again, but time is really a very peculiar thing. You either have too much or not enough of it. You wait for ages and it goes by so fast. Case in point, graduation. With great pleasure, I am pleased to announce that I have finally GRADUATED from high school! Cheers, freedom, liberation. Graduation is funny, it was a moment that I had been waiting seven years for and it went by in a flash. With that being said, I wouldn't have traded graduation from anything in the world. Well maybe James Franco.  So I've finally had enough time of high school. However, I've also had enough time off blogging. Its no secret that I've been absent from the blogosphere for about a month, citing exams as the main cause. Now that they're done and dusted, I can't wait to get back to html formatting, photoshop curving and general shooting. Thus with the discussion of time, I'm rewinding back to the time we took these photos.

Conrad shot these on our last week of school. Our last week of school had different costume themes for each day. This was taken on 'throwback thursday', and I, seeing my obsessive fascination with the era that entered through the birth canal, threw back to my homegurl best friends Cher and Dionne of Clueless, a.k.a pure 90's heaven. I actually had a white button up layered underneath but I took it off because it was scorching hot and I wanted to show a more 'me' side to the look. Ultimately, while my high school experience did not include a 'tai-inspired makeover', it did spark my lifelong obsession with knee highs and plaid. So in true Cher fashion, AS IF HIGH SCHOOL.

PS: These photos were taken a while ago so my hair is no longer this length. Goodbye blanket. And yes, brace yourselves, prom pics are coming xoxo. Also feedback on the new font would be nice.

ARABELLA

Jacket- HK boutique, Shorts- Thrifted and DIY'd, Sunglasses- HK boutique, Choker- DIY, Sweater- Persunmall, Creepers- Underground

After a deliriously long pause, I am finally back with a much overdue outfit post. So without further adieu, I present my outfit.

The lovely folks at Persunmall gifted me with this sweater. Persunmall is a great website for shopping online and its extremely affordable. Persunmall is stocked with a wide variety of clothes, shoes and even prom dresses! So no matter what, you'll be sure to find something you like. Shopping on persunmall is extremely easy and I highly recommend shopping on persunmall. This sweater is perfect for lighter conditions or for layering in colder climates. I love the ribbed detailing on it and surprisingly, it fits me like a glove! I especially love how easy it feels on my body. I'll definitely be wearing it throughout the year(s) to come! Please click HERE to view the sweater and the website.

Conrad and I ventured out to our 'signature' spot to take these photos. We shot here a while back and unlike Hong Kong's landscape, it hasn't changed at all. I also wore these shorts the last time we were here, however I've gone 'creative' and decided to distress and rip these shorts. After all, everything looks better worn to pieces.

I literally sewed this choker minutes before I left the door to school this morning and its not coming off me for a while. I love how the clear crystal looks and I'll definitely be making more similar to this.

Alright, I have some tv shows homework to attend to!

TWIST AND SHOUT

T-shirt-Gia Coppola x Uniqlo, Shorts- DIY, Hoodie- passed down, Choker- friend, Socks- Nike, Shoes- Monki.

This post is disgustingly late as these photos were taken (by my favourite sister) a week ago and its only going up today! Still better late than never right? I'm feeling very assasin's creed in this hooded combination. I think that myself, and a lot of other bloggers, tend to 'doll it up' for the camera, and a lot of the time, we tend to forget to snap our actual normal uniform. So I'd thought I liked to show you guys my usual attire whilst I'm lounging around the house. Just so you guys can see what I'm *ahem* actually like.

My sister snapped these photos whilst we were walking our dog Maggie. As my time in Hong Kong is quickly coming to a halt, I've been spending more and more time with the loveable fool and I honestly have no idea how I'll be able to deal with all the separation anxiety I'll be facing once we're separated. Star-crossed lovers? I think so.

I've also realized that this is my first post of the new year! So a belated happy new year everyone? Sorry that this is my first post of this year, but I've just been so swept away with work. Hopefully I'll have more time in the new year to post more outfits, especially once I'm free of the IB. Never again will two letters haunt me with such negative feelings.

PS: Can we talk about how rad this choker is? I found it in a box! Not only does it go with my brand new holographic kicks, it also reflects rhinestones in the sun. Double whammy.

PPS: I've been dying to cut my hair a la Kiko Mizuharu, thoughts, words opinions? Should I take the cut or not?
