STUCK ON A PUZZLE

Three weeks is far too long for a delayed outfit post and suffice to say, a lot has changed since my last outfit and now. Currently, I am lamenting the impending deadline of my re-entry into prison, also known as school. I have approximately t- six days of freedom left and I am desperately trying to cram everything, and I mean everything into the span of 144 hours. Another aspect of my glorious life. The weather in Hong Kong has been nothing short of bi-polar and on sun soaked occasions, such as last Sunday, this sleeveless-shirt-denim-shorts-white-shoes have been my go to uniform. I've held these shoes captive for about a month, but only recently have they seen the light of my blog. There's something about white shoes that make you realize you actually have to take care of your shoes. And thanks to the now broadening collection of white shoes in my wardrobe, I have now accumulated three different methods of cleaning these shoes. Score.
Day/ Post 21: A song that makes you listen to when you're sad
'Stuck on a puzzle' - Alex Turner
As mentioned earlier, a lot has changed in the past three weeks. I'm not one the divulge into my wondrous life, however these weeks have definitely been rocky for me. Sometimes, it takes the right perspective to make all the difference. (Unfortunately, I didn't come up with that wondrous statement *cries*, credits to the talented guys of WongFu Productions' When It Counts *hint hint fangirl over here).
This song is not directly sad, but more melancholic and it's definitely been a song I've been listening to a lot this summer. Submarine is one of my favourite movies and the score for the movie is just incredible. So enough of my ramblings and go enjoy this masterpiece.
PS: Hint at a submarine inspiration/review post? I think so.

30 day/post Song Challenge
Day/Post 18: A song from your favourite album
'Here comes the sun' by The Beatles
Here comes the sun is about as iconic as you can get. Famous from the eponymous album 'Abbey Road', its probably one of the 'most played' songs in my itunes library. I thought it would be fitting to this post as Nick shot me under Hong Kong's hottest sun, truly marking the arrival of summer in Hong Kong. However, the weather has now retreated back to its mundane typhoons. Woe woe woe.
Abbey Road is such an iconic album and its definitely got a special place on my heart. I know that nothing beats the Lennon-McCartney partnership, but George really has some spectacular songs. A while ago in london (which you can see here), I went to a musical called 'Let It Be!', which was basically a constant hit of Beatles music, and it was great because it reminded me of other Beatles songs that I've missed out on, as well as the famous anthems. It really did make me want to travel back in time to see the Beatles perform live. Still, here comes the sun is forever intact in my heart. Ok enough with the cheesy talk. I'll leave you to enjoy this song.
PS: London, I'm not done with you! I've still got a couple of london posts lined up! Oh how I miss london.

TEENAGE SUICIDE (don't do it)

The weather in Hong Kong has just become painstakingly hot, and its not just hot, its humid as well. Being a born and bred Hong Konger, it seems odd that I should be complaining about such normal conditions, but hey, there is only so much a lass can take in.
Day 17: A song that you wish you heard on the radio
Teenage Suicide (don't do it)- Big Fun (Heather's soundtrack)
Let's face it, a Heathers shrine post was going to come up sooner or later. I've been on a bit of a Heathers rampage recently, more of a watching the movie when I really should be finishing my TOK work rather than lets poison Heather Chandler with bleach rampage. There are so many things I love about Heathers that I've made a list below:
- Young Winona Ryder- her hair, her wide eyes, her everything
- The clothing- 1985 at its very best
- That red scrunchie- I have one, albeit patterned, that I intend to wear and feel like so heather like.
- The language- Nothing beats Heathers.
- Young Christian Slater- For a psycho, he's one hell of a guy.
- Hair- the bigger, the better
- The completely non realistic murders that seem so realistic- Nuff said.
- The soundtrack- This is where my daily tune kicks in! For those of you who don't know much about Heathers, theres a song in it that everyone listens to on the radio and the song mirrors the film's events. Any guesses? Unfortunately, Big fun does not exists and the song was only made for the movie's premises. But still, I'd give anything to hear it on my radio.
PS: I've got exciting news! In 3 sleeps time, I will be jetting off to my 'third home', London! Cue in the marching bands.
